I just want to start out by saying that you should be proud of yourself; for not only acknowledging you need help at this time, but also actively taking the step to search for that help.

It Begins Within Healing Center is a private mental health practice focused on helping individuals and couples heal and grow.

Seasons of life can be very difficult, and having extra support in the form of mental health counseling is beneficial for so many reasons. I feel very honored that you are considering telling me your story, as I believe you should choose who hears it. I believe in the power of a therapeutic relationship to gain trust in exploring ways to improve your current state of being. I come from a strengths-based approach because I acknowledge you are the expert of your own life, and happiness looks different for everyone. Right now, the world is chaotic in many ways, and this chaos can be classified as traumatic, whether circumstances include financial struggles, fears of physical safety, or relational conflict derived from quarantine.

I want to hear all of it and help you heal. I strive for every hour of therapy to be a “spa session for your brain,” where each client feels refreshed and rejuvenated following our appointments to make active changes in their life. I implement mind and body practices to gain awareness into where the problem stems from and a collaborative approach to creating positive change.

I want to hear all of it and help you heal.

I specialize in trauma and have a personal goal of eliminating the stigma attached to the word. Trauma can encompass so many life events that make you feel physically or mentally unsafe. Trauma can negatively impact your relationship with yourself in forms (e.g., anxiety, depression, etc.) and relationships with others (e.g., romantic relationships, family, etc.); thus, together once the trauma is identified, the next step is to find a way to live with this circumstance in the healthiest way possible.

Even if you do not choose me personally to work with, I am a huge advocate for mental health therapy and believe that you should not give up hope in finding someone you can work with. With the right fit between client and therapist, real change can take place. I wish you the best in your mental health journey.

The best is yet to come.
